About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic I performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repairs on mechanical systems and equipment at the assigned healthcare facility. The role may include more complex assignments involving multiple systems or coordination across departments. Specialized knowledge of locksmithing, HVAC, motors, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems is needed to carry out a variety of maintenance duties, including repairing heating, lighting, cooling, plumbing, and ventilation systems and equipment, as well as installing and maintaining motors and specialized equipment.

The position is based at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in the Facilities department, and is scheduled for a full-time day shift.

Requirements

• Meet at least one of the following qualifications: graduate of a trade school; two years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant education or experience.
• Specialized knowledge and expertise in locksmithing, HVAC, motors, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical systems and equipment for assigned facilities.
• Handle potentially complex assignments involving multiple systems or cross-departmental interaction.
• Repair heating, lighting, cooling, plumbing, and ventilation systems and equipment.
• Install and maintain motors and specialized equipment.
