About The Position

Medxcel is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic I for the Facilities department at St. Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. This full-time, second-shift role performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repairs on mechanical systems and equipment at assigned facilities. Work may include complex assignments involving multiple systems or coordination across departments. The role requires specialized knowledge of locksmithing, HVAC, motors, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Requirements

• Graduate of a trade school, or at least 2 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant education or experience.
• Specialized knowledge and expertise in locksmithing, HVAC, motors, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical systems and equipment at assigned facilities.
• Complete complex maintenance or repair assignments involving multiple systems or cross-departmental interaction as assigned.
• Repair heating, lighting, cooling, plumbing, and ventilation systems and equipment.
• Install and maintain motors and specialized equipment.
