About The Position
As a Maintenance Mechanic, Buildings and Grounds 1, you will be responsible for assisting with the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment, including motors, gearboxes, bearings, mechanical drives, VFD’s, electrical components, and basic controls. You will also learn and assist with facility systems such as chiller, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance. The role involves performing preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime, responding to maintenance requests, and maintaining accurate records of repairs and activities. Collaboration with team members to improve processes and equipment performance, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining a clean and safe work area are also key aspects of this position.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Some experience as a maintenance mechanic or in a similar role.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Reliable, punctual and safety-focused.
- Positive attitude and strong cultural fit with a team-oriented environment.
Nice To Haves
- Technical training in mechanics is a plus.
Responsibilities
