About The Position

Work independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance tasks; troubleshoot and repair equipment and facility failures while following all safety and quality control standards. The role supports plant machinery and production equipment, repairs electrical and control systems, performs inspections and adjustments, and fabricates or modifies equipment and parts. The position may include other duties as assigned.

Requirements

At least 2 years of machine repair and maintenance experience; manufacturing-setting experience is preferred.
Ability to read and understand written instructions.
High attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Ability to climb ladders and work at high elevations, carry up to 60 pounds, and stand for 12 hours.
Ability to work in varying conditions and bend and reach for extended periods.
May be exposed to controlled chemical mists or vapors.

Nice To Haves

Technical training with a concentration in machine mechanics is strongly preferred.
Machine repair and maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant machinery and production equipment, including valves, conveyors, compressors, pumps, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and boilers.
Troubleshoot, repair, or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, and motor starters.
Enter work orders in the department software tracking program.
Perform work-order repairs, inspections, and adjustments.
Operate welders, drill presses, grinders, hand tools, lathes, mills, and other tools as needed, following standard operating procedures.
Fabricate parts and modify new and existing equipment.
Repair or troubleshoot electrical problems.
Adhere to and promote all safety policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
