About The Position

Work independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance tasks; troubleshoot and repair equipment and facility failures while following all safety and quality control standards.

Requirements

• Two years of machine repair and maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read and understand written instructions.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at high elevations, carry up to 60 pounds, and stand for 12 hours.
• Ability to work in varying conditions and bend and reach for extended periods.
• May be exposed to controlled chemical mists or vapors.

Nice To Haves

• Technical training with a concentration in machine mechanics is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant machinery and production equipment, including valves, conveyors, compressors, pumps, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and boilers.
• Troubleshoot, repair, or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, and motor starters.
• Enter work orders in the department software tracking program.
• Perform work order repairs, inspections, and adjustments.
• Operate welders, drill presses, grinders, hand tools, lathes, mills, and other tools as necessary, following standard operating procedures.
• Fabricate parts and modify new and existing equipment.
• Repair or troubleshoot electrical problems.
• Adhere to and promote all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
