About The Position

The Maintenance Manufacturing Leadership Program is a rotational program focused on technical and leadership training at an Owens Corning manufacturing plant. Participants will be mentored by experienced maintenance and engineering professionals to improve efficiency and develop manufacturing solutions. The program includes opportunities for leadership in a manufacturing environment. The program spans 24 to 30 months. Upon completion, participants will be placed in a full-time assignment as a Maintenance Supervisor/Leader at a North American Owens Corning manufacturing plant.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Ceramic, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or relevant major and/or field
  • Previous internships/co-ops within a glass melting/furnace manufacturing setting
  • Demonstrated leadership in professional, service, or social organizations
  • Willingness and flexibility to relocate (assistance provided)

Responsibilities

  • Engage in preventative maintenance programs and procedures for plant equipment.
  • Investigate and resolve work in process problems.
  • Maintain production equipment to meet organizational standards and minimize downtime.
  • Focus on safety, automation, digitalization, strategic asset management, and data analytics.
  • Develop skills in safety leadership, project engineering, reliability processes, maintenance planning, and supervisory leadership.
  • Recommend and implement improvements for operations, equipment, and documentation.
  • Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and Total Productive Maintenance methodologies.
