About The Position

Mercy Housing is hiring a hands-on Maintenance Manager for Lone Oak Manor Apartments, a 76-unit property in Paducah, Kentucky. This on-site role collaborates with property management to perform building maintenance, manage day-to-day maintenance functions, assist with budget oversight, and coordinate vendor contracts. Pay is $25.00–$28.00 per hour, depending on experience. Mercy Housing encourages candidates with lived experience to apply.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Three years of experience in skilled maintenance work.
Technical expertise in one or more building trades.
Legally operate a motor vehicle.
Work collaboratively in a team environment.
Comprehend and communicate in English, orally and in writing, and present information to groups.
Perform basic math and understand trade measurement systems.
Read and interpret electrical, plumbing, and mechanical diagrams and blueprints, and draft working sketches.
Use maintenance, trade, and testing equipment and tools.

Responsibilities

Patch and paint walls, trim, and ceilings.
Clean, repair, and maintain appliances.
Prepare units for new residents, including completing necessary turnover work.
Perform routine plumbing and electrical repairs.
Manage day-to-day maintenance functions.
Assist with maintenance budget oversight.
Coordinate and manage vendor contracts in collaboration with the property management team.
Effectively oversee the work progress of vendors or outside contractors.
