About The Position

The Maintenance Manager will lead, supervise, and schedule maintenance staff to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with quality and company standards. This role involves ensuring personnel are properly equipped and trained, optimizing preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and serving as the primary technical expert for equipment issues. The manager will oversee all facility-related maintenance, coordinate work orders, support performance goals, ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements, and address personnel issues. A visible presence on the production floor is expected, with availability for emergencies, including off-hours. The role also includes leading root cause analyses for equipment failures and implementing corrective actions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and schedule maintenance staff.
  • Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with quality and company standards.
  • Ensure maintenance personnel are properly equipped and trained, including the use of PPE, tools, and safety protocols.
  • Optimize preventive maintenance programs and drive improvements in predictive maintenance.
  • Serve as the primary technical expert and troubleshooter for equipment and production machinery issues.
  • Manage all facility-related maintenance activities including electrical, plumbing, roofing, carpentry, and general repairs.
  • Oversee setup and breakdown of facility spaces for events and operational needs.
  • Conduct quality control checks on maintenance work.
  • Coordinate and prioritize work orders with other departments.
  • Support achievement of plant-wide and departmental performance goals.
  • Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements and maintain effective working relationships with union personnel.
  • Address personnel issues, investigate concerns, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain a visible presence on the production floor.
  • Be available to respond to emergencies, including off-hours if necessary.
  • Lead root cause analyses for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
