About The Position

Crothall Healthcare is hiring a Maintenance / Locksmith Mechanic for Texas Health Harris Methodist Hurst-Euless-Bedford. The position performs a variety of building maintenance and locksmith duties, including troubleshooting and repairing building systems, maintaining locks and fire door assemblies, carrying out inspections and preventive maintenance, and coordinating specialized work with vendors and contractors. The schedule is 1st shift, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Requirements

A driver's license and clean driving record are required.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to follow up on maintenance tasks.
Experience with Building Automation Systems.

Nice To Haves

3–5 years of related experience as a maintenance worker or locksmith.
Two years of trade school or related on-the-job experience.
Experience with computerized work order systems.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot equipment; replace plumbing fixtures; rod drains and pipes; identify and stop leaks; and rebuild flush valves.
Supervise and adjust the building automation system to support patient and staff comfort.
Test and inspect generators; replace light fixtures and bulbs and ceiling tiles; and respond to general building issues.
Use drawings, wiring diagrams, and operations and maintenance manuals to troubleshoot, diagnose, and make repairs.
Coordinate specialized work with vendors and contractors.
Install, repair, and maintain keys and locks.
Insert new or repaired tumblers into locks to change combinations.
Install locks and lock systems using different hardware and carpentry methods.
Maintain the proper functionality of fire door assemblies throughout the facilities.
Perform preventive maintenance on emergency power systems, emergency lighting, ice machines, refrigerators, HVAC equipment, and other assigned building systems.
Conduct building and mechanical room inspections in accordance with the maintenance program.
