About The Position

Under the supervision of an assigned supervisor or manager, the Maintenance Locksmith/Glazier performs skilled locksmith and glazing work, along with related rough and finish carpentry. The role also includes managing and prioritizing work orders and performing related duties as assigned.

Applicants must have two years of experience as a journey-level locksmith related to the typical duties of the position. Requirements

• Two years of experience as a journey-level locksmith related to the typical duties of the position.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, remove broken glass, and install new glass; glaze glass or work with wood, metal, and rubber stops.
• Install wood, metal, or rollup doors and wood or metal door jambs.
• Install and repair automatic doors, operators, and related mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic components.
• Install, repair, and maintain cylinder locks; cut keys for cylinder, cabinet, and padlocks; open locks; and repair or replace tumblers, springs, and other parts.
• Maintain the security of duplicate and master keys.
• Install and repair door closers, locksets, door checks, casement operators, and panic hardware.
• Obtain vendor quotes for equipment, repairs, or contracted services, and schedule and monitor installation of those services.
• Install, maintain, and service electronic access systems.
• Perform rough and finish carpentry work in the repair or alteration of buildings.
• Manage and prioritize work orders.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
