About The Position

This role is for a Maintenance Lead on the night shift, responsible for supporting Total Process Reliability through Total Productive Maintenance, General Maintenance, and Project Management. The position operates under minimal supervision and involves performing a variety of highly complex maintenance projects. The lead will work collaboratively with other Maintenance Technicians and Production Supervisors, assisting in all functions of the maintenance area. A key aspect of the role is to lead and coordinate the work of other Maintenance Technicians to ensure the facility runs efficiently and safely, serving as a technical resource and providing guidance, training, and mentorship to less experienced team members. The lead will also provide feedback to management for performance reviews and is responsible for the leadership and direction of maintenance projects from inception to completion, including requesting necessary supplies and managing project implementation. General sanitation of the maintenance department, including organizing supplies and tools, is also a responsibility. The role requires the maintenance and repair of various processing and supporting equipment, including electrical apparatus, pipe systems, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. This includes laying out, assembling, installing, dismantling, maintaining, and repairing equipment to update or replace existing systems, update technology, prepare for repairs, perform PMs, and ensure efficient operation. Recording daily times, parts dispensed, and work orders using maintenance software to track replacement parts and repair costs is essential. The lead will execute and evaluate current job plans, provide feedback to management, and develop future job plans. Operating special maintenance equipment such as welders, grinders, and jigs is required, as is reading and understanding electrical prints or flowcharts. Calibration of sensors and programming of AC drives, chart recorders, pressure sensors, and flow meters are also part of the duties. Maintenance and testing of utility equipment, performing PSM daily rounds, and collaborating with outside vendors are expected. The lead will also mentor the operation of utilities, separator maintenance, and other critical equipment areas, and serve as backup for wastewater treatment responsibilities. Preventative maintenance duties include repairing and maintaining electrical equipment and the physical structure of the facility, and writing and monitoring guides on equipment using Microsoft programs for SOPs, PM schedules, and training procedures. Troubleshooting and problem-solving are critical, involving the analysis of problems to determine root causes, diagnosing repeat breakdowns, and conferring with management and associates to diagnose production or quality issues. This includes troubleshooting PLC programs and hardware, and monitoring operations to suggest cost reductions. The role also involves providing support on facility and process systems through training, mentoring, and consultation, understanding and following procedures for DNR/WDA/USDA/FDA/IMS/OSHA, and performing other assigned duties.
