You’ll play a vital role in our (department) team by leading maintenance crews during assigned shifts, ensuring corrective tasks are executed safely, efficiently, and with high quality. This includes reporting and entering follow-up requests after temporary corrective maintenance. You will manage shift-based maintenance activities, prioritize work orders based on production needs, safety risks, and equipment criticality. You will serve as the first point of contact for troubleshooting equipment issues and coordinating emergency repairs, communicating shift activities, issues, and completed tasks to incoming teams and supervisors. You will be responsible for executing planned activities when no corrective maintenance is required, providing hands-on support and guidance for mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs, and ensuring proper use of tools, PPE, and maintenance procedures in line with site safety standards. Additionally, you will support root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring failures, assist in implementing corrective actions, maintain accurate records of completed work in the CMMS (SAP), including parts used and labor hours, conduct daily equipment walkdowns to detect early signs of wear or failure, facilitate rapid root cause analysis (RCA) immediately after critical breakdowns, and ensure lessons learned from failures are integrated into PM routines and SOPs. You will also assist in executing and improving preventive maintenance (PM) routines, identify opportunities to reduce unplanned downtime and improve equipment reliability, monitor equipment condition and escalate concerns to engineering or reliability teams, and support TPM initiatives and basic condition checks performed by operators. Furthermore, you will mentor junior technicians, support cross-training across maintenance disciplines, participate in safety meetings, and lead toolbox talks focused on maintenance best practices. You will enforce safe work practices and ensure compliance with lockout/tagout and other safety procedures, maintain clean and organized work areas, promoting a culture of safety and accountability, and report safety incidents, near misses, and equipment hazards promptly.
