About The Position

This position is responsible for the overall supervision and productivity of assigned Embroidery team members, communicating with team members regarding priorities, workload, and deadlines. This position is also responsible for processing embroidery orders by preparing garments, running an embroidery machine, and making quality adjustments as necessary.

Requirements

  • High school education or GED required
  • Must be bilingual
  • Must have strong coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to get results through the team
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral), problem resolution, sound judgment, pro-active, people-oriented, flexible, organized, diplomatic, strong listening skills, reliable, enthusiastic, courteous, and result-oriented
  • Hours must be flexible according to workloads
  • Must be highly organized with the ability to work with deadlines and changing priorities
  • Ability to work well independently and as a team
  • Must be reliable, responsible, and take direction well
  • Must be able to perform repetitive tasks for several hours
  • Ability to stand for at least 10-12 hours a day
  • Microsoft Word, Doc, and Excel knowledge required
  • Accuracy is required; one must understand the order form and be able to count
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced working environment
  • Must be self-directed & self-motivated

  • Leadership background experience preferred
  • Previous production or sewing experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Ensure team members are appropriately trained in the areas of job responsibility, safety, and company policy
  • Collaborate with trainers to ensure progress with new hires and address any issues
  • Motivate all team members to achieve personal and department success
  • Monitor daily attendance and punctuality, keeping Workday updated and processing bi-weekly payroll sign-off procedures
  • Conduct daily and weekly check-ins with the team and report performance/attendance issues to the Operations Manager
  • Conduct performance and compensation reviews with employees
  • Manage and direct daily priorities
  • Understand and utilize production reports and work orders to organize and manage priorities
  • Request help from other areas to meet goals
  • Maintain Lakeshirts' acceptable standard of quality per garment.
  • Maintain Lakeshirts' goals in the area of garments per employee hour, on-time percentages, and error rate
  • Follows safety practices. Identifies problems and works to resolve safety issues as they occur in accordance to OSHA standards
  • Works actively with others in the department and company to achieve positive results
  • Reports errors/issues to the embroidery supervisor
  • Organizes orders of garments and production workflow for production teams to maintain team goals
  • Follows the 6S: Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety
  • Initiates daily tasks of finding and locating orders and unloading pallets as needed
  • Ability to lift 30-50 lbs continuously
  • Other duties as assigned, including special projects
