About The Position

Del Real Foods is a traditional Mexican food manufacturer seeking a dedicated Maintenance Lead to join their team. This role supports production efficiencies by managing the maintenance and repair of all processing machinery, auxiliary equipment, and supporting systems. The Maintenance Lead will provide hands-on leadership in executing daily maintenance activities, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical and electro-mechanical systems.

Requirements

Proficient electrical knowledge (120/220/480).
Proficient in standard and metric tools.
Proficiency in programming PLC.
Packaging Machine experience.
Knowledge of Glycol and Ammonia refrigeration.
Proper and safe use of hand and power tools and working on machinery.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of (lock-out/tag-out) procedures and employee safety practices.
Ability to learn mechanical systems.
Basic knowledge of company employee policies.
1 year of employment practices in a USDA Establishment.

Nice To Haves

Food Industry experience is a plus.
Industrial Mechanical Technician Certification is a plus.
Industrial Electrical Technician Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

Follows and enforces employee safety procedures.
Reports any unsafe conditions to immediate supervisor or manager.
Follows, monitors, and enforces all food safety procedures.
Follows and enforces SQF requirements (Facilities, Equipment, SSOP, SOP, GMP’s, etc.).
Follows and enforces USDA & FDA guidelines and regulations.
Follows Company Policies, Regulations, and Lunch & Break Policies.
Serves as a liaison between supervisors and team members.
Verifies that all personnel are present and with the required PPE.
Ensures compliance with good manufacturing practices and safety standards.
Troubleshoots and repairs engines/motors/vacuums/pumps/conveyors/ovens.
Understands and adheres to established safety programs.
Communicates effectively at all levels in the maintenance and operating departments.
Provides rapid response when equipment malfunctions or breaks down.
Ensures all machinery is in good working condition.
Provides other leaders or staff assistance (e.g., covering lunch hours, absent staff).
Accurately completes documentation as needed.
Maintains work area clean.
Provides new personnel with the required training.
Attends all safety and quality meetings.
Covers other positions as assigned by the Manager.
Complies with company regulations.
