About The Position

The Maintenance Journey Person is a member of Land O’Lakes, Inc.’s manufacturing team, maintaining the facility and production equipment to support plant operations and product quality. The role covers installation, ongoing maintenance, and repairs of facility and production equipment, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and controls. It is part of the Dairy Food business, which produces dairy products. The position works third shift, from 9:15 PM to 5:45 AM. Weekends, overtime, and holidays may be required as needed. Pay is $39.74 per hour, plus a $1.35-per-hour shift differential.

Requirements

Possess a journeyman’s card in an applicable field.
Be at least 18 years old.
Have 1 year of industrial or building facility maintenance experience.
Have basic computer and math skills.
Be able to read, write, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions and product manuals.
Be willing to learn new skills, problem-solve, and troubleshoot.
Have strong collaboration and communication skills and treat others respectfully.

Nice To Haves

1 to 3+ years of experience with basic electrical systems, compressors, welding, plumbing, conveyors, hydraulics, packaging, PLCs, pneumatics, preventive maintenance, and pumps.
LOTO experience.
Forklift experience.

Responsibilities

Monitor plant machinery and equipment for proper operation; perform regular and preventive maintenance, repairs, diagnostics, tests, troubleshooting, and inspections; document work.
Ensure standard operating procedures are followed.
Multitask and keep up with demands in a fast-paced environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
