About The Position

The Maintenance Journey Person is a member of Land O’Lakes, Inc.’s manufacturing team and is responsible for maintaining the facility and production equipment to support plant operations and the production of high-quality products. The role includes installing, maintaining, and repairing facility and production equipment, working with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and controls, and performing maintenance activities in a dairy food manufacturing business.

Requirements

Possess a Journeyman's Card in an applicable field.
Be at least 18 years old.
Have 1 year of industrial or building facility maintenance experience.
Have basic computer and math skills.
Be able to read, write, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions and product manuals.
Be willing to learn new skills, problem-solve, and troubleshoot.
Have strong collaboration and communication skills and always be respectful.

Nice To Haves

1 to 3+ years of experience with basic electrical systems, compressors, welding, plumbing, conveyors, hydraulics, packaging, PLC, pneumatics, preventive maintenance, and pumps.
LOTO experience.
Forklift experience.

Responsibilities

Comply with all safety processes and insist on safe practices by self and others.
Arrive on time, complete tasks by deadlines, and adapt quickly to changes.
Monitor plant machinery and equipment for proper operating performance.
Perform regular and preventive maintenance, repairs, diagnoses, tests, troubleshooting, and inspections on machinery and equipment, and document work accordingly.
Ensure standard operating procedures are followed.
Multitask and keep up with demands in a fast-paced environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
