About The Position

The Maintenance and Housekeeping Associate helps drive sales and deliver a positive customer and associate experience by maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting store environment. This hourly role performs daily cleaning activities, maintenance tasks, and supply replenishment, with high standards for hygiene and attention to detail. The associate maintains cleanliness throughout the store, cleans and restocks restrooms and the associate breakroom, replenishes register supplies, organizes cleaning and maintenance supplies, and supports store safety by identifying and resolving hazards. The role also includes replacing interior and exterior lights, supporting customers and teammates, following asset protection and safety procedures, and completing other assigned tasks. The associate must be available to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and must regularly move throughout the store and be accessible to customers.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate ownership and initiative in achieving personal goals, store objectives, and daily priorities.
Maintain cleanliness throughout all areas of the store by dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, cleaning mirrors, and collecting trash, hangers, and sensor tags.
Thoroughly clean restrooms and the associate breakroom, sanitize surfaces and breakroom appliances, and restock essential items.
Replenish supplies at registers, including bags, boxes, and tissue paper, and remove unnecessary items.
Organize and replenish cleaning and maintenance supplies to promote efficiency and accessibility for the store team.
Identify and promptly resolve safety hazards, such as spills, icy sidewalks, and broken glass.
Replace interior and exterior lights to maintain a well-lit store environment.
Use training tools and resources, and embrace feedback, to build knowledge of operational processes and strengthen performance.
Stay informed about products, promotions, policies, and store events to enhance execution.
Build connections with teammates, share knowledge, and celebrate individual and team achievements to contribute to a positive store culture.
Warmly acknowledge and assist customers, support the store during peak traffic and coverage periods, and complete other assigned tasks.
Follow asset protection procedures, safety guidelines, and security protocols to support shortage control and minimize risk.
