About The Position

The Maintenance and Housekeeping Associate helps drive sales and deliver a positive customer and associate experience by maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting store environment. This hourly role performs daily cleaning activities, maintenance tasks, and supply replenishment, with high standards for hygiene and attention to detail. The associate maintains cleanliness throughout the store, cleans restrooms and the associate breakroom, replenishes supplies, supports store safety, and replaces interior and exterior lights. The role also supports customers and store operations during peak traffic, follows asset protection and safety procedures, and contributes to a positive team culture. Additional duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate ownership and initiative in achieving personal goals, store objectives, and daily priorities.
Maintain cleanliness throughout all areas of the store by dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, cleaning mirrors, and collecting trash, hangers, and sensor tags.
Thoroughly clean restrooms and the associate breakroom, sanitize surfaces and appliances, and restock essential items.
Replenish supplies at registers, including bags, boxes, and tissue paper, and remove unnecessary items.
Organize and replenish cleaning and maintenance supplies to promote efficiency and ease of access for the store team.
Support store safety by identifying hazards such as spills, icy sidewalks, and broken glass, and resolving them promptly.
Replace interior and exterior lights to maintain a well-lit store environment.
Use training tools and other resources, embrace feedback, and build knowledge of operational processes and procedures.
Stay informed about products, promotions, policies, and store events to enhance execution.
Contribute to a positive store culture by building connections with teammates, sharing knowledge, and celebrating individual and team achievements.
Warmly acknowledge and assist customers, support the store during peak traffic and coverage periods, and complete other assigned tasks.
Follow asset protection procedures, safety guidelines, and security protocols to support shortage control and minimize risk.
