About The Position

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The role involves a variety of tasks including basic mechanical repairs, electrical work, and system maintenance. Requirements

Must be able to use basic hand tools.
Able to read & understand assignments.
Able to communicate orally & in writing.
Able to hear/respond to two-way radio.
Able to lift 50 pounds.
Able to climb stairs and ladders up to 60 feet.
Able to stand for long periods of time.
Withstand extreme hot, cold, inclement weather & odors.
Basic knowledge of math.
Able to use various electrical & pneumatic power tools & equipment.
At least 6 months of mechanical/maintenance experience within the last 24 months, preferably industrial maintenance, listed on the application.
6 months of continuous employment with one employer within the last 24 months.
All applicants must complete the final task that is separate from the application.
Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets.
Maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Monitoring boiler and performing chemical tests on boiler.
Reading drawings & schematics of hydraulic & basic electrical systems.
Operating various pieces of gas/hydraulic motors/lifts.
Performing duties such as welding, cutting, minor electrical repair, removing and replacement of motor shafts, couplings, pumps, augers, water & steam pipes, lines, & systems.
Furthering education by outside training, company testing program & vendor training.
