About The Position

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The role requires the use of basic hand tools, the ability to read and understand assignments, and effective oral and written communication skills. The position also involves responding to a two-way radio, lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing stairs and ladders up to 60 feet, and standing for extended periods. The environment may involve extreme temperatures, inclement weather, and odors. Basic math knowledge is necessary, along with the ability to use various electrical and pneumatic power tools and equipment. Responsibilities may include monitoring boilers, performing chemical tests on boilers, reading drawings and schematics of hydraulic and basic electrical systems, and operating certified pieces of gas/hydraulic motors/lifts. Specific duties include welding, cutting, minor electrical repair, and the removal and replacement of motor shafts, couplings, pumps, augers, water and steam pipes, lines, and systems. The company is willing to support further education through outside training, company testing programs, and vendor training.   • Must have 6 months of continuous employment with one employer within the last 24 months

  • Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
