Maintenance Generalist (1st Shift)-Gadsden, AL
About The Position
General Maintenance positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. You must be willing to set up, adjust, and break down production line machinery. Must be willing to learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders and fill out the daily documentation that is required in the system. Must be able to read and write where required. Must be able to use math as needed to make work-related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc. Must be willing and able to lift 70 lbs. with assistance on a daily basis and be able to work on your feet for 12 hours. Must be willing to complete all required training for the job. Must be able to communicate clearly with Upper Management and team members via phone, in person, and in writing regarding the status of equipment repairs. Must be able to use Forklifts, Pallet Jacks, Ladders, Fall Protection, and Lock Out Tag Out.
Requirements
- A minimum of 6-months related industrial maintenance experience within the last 12 months (can be a combination of employers and/or technical certifications)
- Must not have a Written Warning within the last 6 months of the bid date
- Cannot have over 7 points to be considered for this position
- Must be able to read and write
- Must be able to use math as needed to make work-related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc.
- Must be willing and able to lift 70 lbs. with assistance on a daily basis
- Must be able to work on your feet for 12 hours
- Must be able to use Forklifts, Pallet Jacks, Ladders, Fall Protection, and Lock Out Tag Out
