About The Position

General Maintenance positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. This role requires setting up, adjusting, and breaking down production line machinery. The successful candidate will learn Tyson SAP software for work orders and daily documentation, and must be able to read, write, and perform math-related computations for machinery and fluid capacities. Communication with upper management and team members regarding equipment repair status is essential. This position is for the 2nd shift and requires availability for overtime and weekends if needed. Applicants must be willing to complete all required training.

Requirements

A minimum of 6-months related industrial maintenance experience within the last 12 months (can be a combination of employers and/or technical certifications).
Must not have a Written Warning within the last 6 months of the bid date.
Cannot have over 7 points to be considered for this position.
Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Must be available to work overtime and weekends if required.

Internal candidates will be considered first.
Current maintenance team members requesting shift change will be given priority.
This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only.

Responsibilities

Keep machinery running to maintain continuous production.
Set up, adjust, and break down production line machinery.
Learn and use Tyson SAP software to make work orders and fill out daily documentation.
Read and write as required for the job.
Use math for machinery and fluid capacity computations.
Lift 70 lbs. with assistance on a daily basis.
Work on feet for 12 hours.
Complete all required training for the job.
Communicate clearly with Upper Management and team members via phone, in person, and in writing regarding the status of equipment repairs.
Use Forklifts, Pallet Jacks, Ladders, Fall Protection, and Lock Out Tag Out.
