About The Position

The Floor Person Labor role is responsible for maintaining plant cleanliness according to the Master Cleaning Schedule. This involves cleaning equipment, silos, and production areas using various tools and chemicals. The position ensures compliance with plant cleanliness standards, reports any issues to supervisors, and completes necessary documentation. Safety is paramount, and all Tyson Foods safety policies and procedures must be followed. This role requires a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, and may involve other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in varying temperatures (38°F–94°F).
  • Ability to work in wet, humid, dusty, and noisy environments.
  • Comfortable working around cleaning chemicals and airborne particles.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
  • Frequently lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to work safely on concrete and occasionally slippery floors.
  • Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hearing protection.
  • Strong attention to safety, sanitation, and detail.
  • Ability to complete required records and documentation.
  • Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and a variable schedule.
  • Must meet Tyson Foods employment and rehire eligibility requirements.
  • Former Tyson Team Members must be separated from the company for a minimum of 180 calendar days.
  • If you have worked at Tyson 3 times or more you will not be eligible for rehire.

  • Complete sanitation tasks and ensure compliance with plant cleanliness standards.
  • Report equipment, safety, or sanitation issues to the supervisor or lead.
  • Complete required logs and documentation accurately.
  • Follow all Tyson Foods safety policies and procedures.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
