About The Position

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The Maintenance Generalist must possess a minimum of 6 months of mechanic work/experience and/or education documented in the work/education history section of the application (can be a combination of employer(s)/education, if it equals at least 6 months).

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months of mechanic work/experience and/or education.
  • Basic computer knowledge/skills.
  • Knowledge and ability to work with 480 volt 3 phase electricity.
  • Experience with pneumatics, hydraulic, electrical automated process control system, PLC operations, inverters, and basic electricity.
  • Must possess mechanical skills.
  • Must be dependable and responsible.
  • Must be Safety Oriented (learning and following Core Safety mandates).
  • Must be willing to stoop, bend, climb ladders and work overhead.
  • Must be willing to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to weld using appropriate tools accordingly.
  • Good troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all equipment and company assets.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to Tyson policies and procedures.
  • Perform PM tasks on equipment daily and weekly.
  • Perform troubleshooting activities daily.
  • Be proactive in reducing downtime on all mechanical equipment.
  • Weld using appropriate tools accordingly.
  • Travel for advanced training classes.
