This position is responsible for general maintenance throughout the plant while adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The Maintenance Generalist monitors equipment during production and makes any necessary repairs or adjustments, documents any corrections required, and rebuilds equipment as needed. They will also assist with the installation of new equipment and perform general maintenance throughout the entire facility. This role involves manually greasing, changing oil, and cleaning various plant equipment, as well as monitoring equipment and computer boards. The position requires troubleshooting mechanical problems using detailed schematics and blueprints, and the ability to work other shifts when necessary. Safety is paramount, and the individual must understand and agree to follow Safety Rules such as Lockout/Tagout and comply with OSHA standards. Close collaboration with other maintenance personnel is essential for information exchange. The role also requires working with fragile devices that need precise attention. All other duties as requested by the supervisor will also be part of the responsibilities.
