About The Position

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This position is responsible for, but not limited to: Provide troubleshooting and repair of any mechanical malfunction. Prepare written documentation of actions taken to correct equipment problems. Responds to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and handle emergency situations. Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule. Complete appropriate paperwork and reports. Must comply with lockout/ tagout, confined space, and all other safety programs. Must be able to perform mechanical and basic electrical trouble shooting and repairs. Able to perform diagnosis and repairs without supervision. Capable of starting all equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervision. Ability to assist with other mechanics as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of Maintenance experience or graduate of Industrial Maintenance Training program or combination of experience and education to meet the 2 year requirement.
  • Must list job experience related to work history history, skills, and education information on application.
  • Must be actively working during application process
  • Must have satisfactorily completed probationary period
  • Must have seven (7) or less attendance points
  • No written warnings within the previous six (6) months
  • No written warning with suspensions within the previous twelve (12) months
  • Basic computer skills with knowledge in Word and Excel.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills are critical.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing, ability to complete on-the-job paperwork and effectively communicate across all management levels.
