About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting the Maintenance Supervisor with supervising employees to ensure acceptable employee productivity and job performance. The role involves determining priorities, assigning work, and providing direction and support to maintenance team members. Follow-up on job completion is required to review job performance and work quality. The position also identifies safety/regulatory concerns and applicable procedures or safeguards. Promoting best practices related to food safety policies and procedures is essential. As needed, the role initiates orders for parts/materials and provides follow-up. As a member of the Maintenance Department staff, the individual is expected to project a positive attitude and handle themselves in a professional manner, maintaining and promoting open communication and positive working relationships with all plant personnel/departments.

Requirements

  • Above average mechanical/electrical aptitude and skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently.
  • Proficient math skills.
  • Clerical/keyboard skills are required for use of computer.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail.
  • Must have 6 months of Continuous Employment with their previous employer
  • 3x Times Worked Maximum with Tyson Foods
  • 90 Day Rehire Waiting Period
