About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting the Maintenance Supervisor with supervising employees to ensure acceptable employee productivity and job performance. The role involves determining priorities, assigning work, and providing direction and support to maintenance team members. The lead will also provide follow-up on job completion to review performance and work quality, identify safety/regulatory concerns, and ensure applicable procedures are followed. Additionally, the position promotes best practices related to food safety, initiates orders for parts/materials as needed, and maintains a positive attitude and professional demeanor. Open communication and positive working relationships with all plant personnel and departments are expected. This role requires above-average mechanical/electrical aptitude and skills, good communication skills, self-motivation, the ability to work independently, proficient math skills, clerical/keyboard skills for computer use, and strong organizational skills with attention to detail. The lead may also be assigned to other maintenance-related tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be able to work 3rd shift hours.
  • Some weekend/holiday work required.
  • Work hours schedule maybe adjusted based on plant needs.
  • TM cannot have more than 4 points at the time of reviewing requestions.
  • TM cannot have any disciplines in the last 6 months.
  • This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only.
  • Must possess above average mechanical/electrical aptitude and skills.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
  • Must have proficient math skills.
  • Clerical/keyboard skills are required for use of computer.
  • Must be highly organized with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Provides follow-up on job completion to review job performance and work quality.
  • Identifies any safety/regulatory concerns and applicable procedures or safeguards that must be followed.
  • Follows and promotes best practices related to food safety policies and procedures.
  • As needed, initiates orders for parts/materials and provides follow-up.
  • As a member of the Maintenance Department staff, is expected to project a positive attitude while handling him or herself in a professional manner.
  • Maintains/promotes open communication and positive working relationships with all plant personnel/departments.
  • As needed, may be assigned to other maintenance related tasks.
