About The Position

The Maintenance Field Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and performing repairs and preventative maintenance on electric equipment up to 480 volts. This role involves installing new equipment such as pumps, HVAC equipment, electric panels, and lighting. The supervisor will organize and coach helpers, delegate assignments, monitor the quality of repairs to ensure code compliance, and inspect sites for violations. Responsibilities also include scheduling and documenting preventive maintenance, prioritizing and supervising repair work, and tracking inventory usage. The role requires recommending improvements for production methods and efficiency, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of OSHA and safety requirements related to Maintenance.
  • Extensive knowledge of the National Electric code and ability to perform work in compliance with code and advise others.
  • A minimum of 15 years’ electrical experience.
  • Knowledge of high voltage systems and large mechanical equipment.
  • A minimum of 10 years’ plumbing experience.
  • Effective written/oral communication and good interpersonal skills.
  • Must be available for emergency work.
  • Valid NY/NJ/CT or PA driver license, with no exceptions.
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft Office that includes MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Supervisory experience a plus.
  • Bi-Lingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on electric equipment up to 480 volts.
  • Install new equipment, including pumps, HVAC equipment, electric panels, and lighting.
  • Organize helpers to perform repairs, providing materials and advice on repair methods.
  • Delegate assignments, monitor workload, and ensure quality of repairs for code compliance.
  • Coach and develop subordinates.
  • Inspect site for violations.
  • Schedule preventive maintenance of equipment and keep records.
  • Schedule repair work based on priority and supervise the work.
  • Install and maintain ejector pumps and domestic water pumps.
  • Install and repair hot water circulating pumps up to 480 volts.
  • Track inventory usage.
  • Recommend or implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
  • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
