Maintenance Facility Assistant - 1st Shift

The Facility Maintenance Schedule is Monday through Friday, 1st shift. This position assists the maintenance department staff with inventory ordering/receiving/reconciliation, minor repairs, and maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems of the plant, warehouse, and office.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Two years of facility maintenance experience (preferred)
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Excellent safety record
- Ability to type and operate a computer, calculator, and a wide range of hand tools, test instruments, machining equipment and maintenance equipment
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations involving adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions, decimals and percentages
- Ability to follow written, verbal or diagrammatic instructions or blueprints
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Legible handwriting to record information and fill out forms
- Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work effectively
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and time deadlines
- Ability to analyze problems (not just symptoms), propose reasonable solutions, make logical decisions, carry out decisions made and follow up with feedback where appropriate

Responsibilities
