About The Position

The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining production equipment, manufacturing systems, and building infrastructure to support efficient plant operations. This position requires experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and building systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and electrical skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair electrical circuits, controls, and other equipment-related issues. The successful candidate will work independently while supporting the reliability, safety, and performance of production and facility equipment.

  • Must have a valid clean driver’s license
  • Able to work overtime when required, including weekends
  • Able to safely lift and move up to 100 pounds, with or without assistance
  • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and vibration
  • Requires close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Minimum (3) years’ experience in maintenance, repair & preventative maintenance
  • Experience with basic carpentry
  • Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience required
  • Basic computer skills for word processing, email and spreadsheets

Nice To Haves

  • Facility maintenance or manufacturing maintenance experience is preferred
  • Additional consideration may be given to candidates with advanced electrical, mechanical, or manufacturing maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

  • Areas of specialization may include one or more of the following: electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, vacuum, hydraulics, refrigeration, welding and fabrication.
  • Experience working with 3-phase electrical systems.
  • Ability to safely operate and maintain power tools such as saws, drills, and other shop equipment.
  • Assist in the operation and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, compressed air, dust collection, and other plant systems.
  • Perform basic carpentry work, including the construction of workbenches, tables, shelving units, and storage racks.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Work closely with Production and Manufacturing teams to support internal customer needs.
  • Perform general repairs and maintenance of offices, common areas, and facility structures.
  • Monitor machines to ensure highest level of safety compliance.
  • Monitor equipment and work areas to support safety compliance. Demonstrate and follow safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, Aerial Lift, and other applicable safety requirements.
  • Able to interpret schematics, manuals, diagrams and equipment specifications.
  • Participate in cross-training and serve as backup support for other maintenance technicians.
