About The Position

Zoetis is looking for a Maintenance Technician to perform facility repairs such as drywall, floors, doors, and basic plumbing with sinks and drains. This role offers the opportunity to learn and take individual responsibility for equipment, grow into an expert, and collaborate with motivated technicians. The technician will help make decisions about equipment, scheduling, and improvements, plan and execute PMs, repairs, and updates to equipment, and work cross-functionally with multiple teams to diagnose and correct issues. There are opportunities for growth through internal training and promotion programs, and to learn new technologies as the site expands.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • A technical aptitude.
  • Understanding of drywall, tile floor, sink/drain repairs.
  • Previous experience or training in any of the following trades: electrical, mechanical, plumbing, utilities are valued.
  • Any work with facility repairs such as doors, floors, walls (drywall patching), sinks, faucets are highly desirable.
  • SAFELY work in an industrial environment using approved procedures, i.e., Lockout/tagout, confined space, line break, right to know, PPE, etc.
  • Have experience in the use of hand and power tools.
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Work in areas that may be hot, cold, stinky, noisy, ultra-clean, or require additional PPE.
  • May be exposed to temperature variations, prolonged standing, or walking.
  • Valid driver's license may be required.
  • Authorization to work in the US for Zoetis.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in a technical field such as Electro-Mechanical
  • Relevant experience in Pharmaceutical or Food manufacturing
  • Commercial construction experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general facility repair work throughout all building areas: office, manufacturing, labs, and warehouse.
  • Plan and execute PM’s, repairs, and updates to equipment to maintain peak efficiency.
  • Use data to drive decision making and focus on permanent fixes.
  • Work cross-functionally with multiple teams to diagnose and correct issues as they arise.
  • Develop additional skills through internal training and promotion program.
  • Learn new technologies as the rapidly growing site continues to expand.
