About The Position

Zoetis is looking for a Maintenance Technician to perform facility repairs such as drywall, floors, doors, and basic plumbing with sinks and drains. This role offers the opportunity to learn and take individual responsibility for equipment, grow into an expert, and collaborate with motivated technicians. The technician will also help make decisions about equipment, scheduling, and improvements. The position involves planning and executing preventative maintenance, repairs, and updates to equipment to maintain peak efficiency, using data to drive decision-making for permanent fixes. The role requires working cross-functionally with multiple teams to diagnose and correct issues, and offers opportunities for growth through internal training and promotion programs. The technician will report to the Team Leader – Site Facilities Maintenance and perform general facility repair work throughout office, manufacturing, labs, and warehouse areas.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
A technical aptitude.
Understanding of drywall, tile floor, sink/drain repairs.
Previous experience or training in any of the following trades: electrical, mechanical, plumbing, utilities are valued.
Any work with facility repairs such as doors, floors, walls (drywall patching), sinks, faucets are highly desirable.
Experience in the use of hand and power tools.
Must possess or obtain authorization to work in the US for Zoetis.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree in a technical field such as Electro-Mechanical
Relevant experience in Pharmaceutical or Food manufacturing
Commercial construction experience is a plus.
Valid driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

Perform facility repairs such as drywall, floors, doors, and basic plumbing with sinks and drains.
Take individual responsibility for equipment in your area.
Build knowledge and collaborate with fellow highly motivated technicians.
Help make decisions about equipment, scheduling and improvements.
Plan and execute PM’s, repairs, and updates to equipment to maintain peak efficiency.
Use data to drive decision making and focus on permanent fixes.
Work cross-functionally with multiple teams to diagnose and correct issues as they arise.
Develop additional skills through internal training and promotion program.
Learn new technologies as the site continues to expand.
Perform general facility repair work throughout all building areas: office, manufacturing, labs, and warehouse.
Safely work in an industrial environment using approved procedures, i.e., Lockout/tagout, confined space, line break, right to know, PPE, etc.
Use hand and power tools.
Work in areas that may be hot, cold, stinky, noisy, ultra-clean, or require additional PPE.
May be exposed to temperature variations, prolonged standing, or walking.
