About The Position
Pyramid Global Hospitality is hiring a Maintenance Engineer at Rand Tower, Minneapolis, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel. The role performs a range of hotel maintenance trade functions, including installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and building systems, as well as HVAC work, painting, wall repair, tile work, and upkeep of the preventive maintenance program. The engineer works closely with team members to support hotel operations and provide a positive guest experience. The position includes general maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems; repairs to appliances and other electrical components; plumbing repairs; repairs to woodwork, wall vinyl, doors, windows, and carpeting; and mechanical maintenance of pumps, compressors, water heaters, automotive equipment, and other miscellaneous equipment. The engineer also maintains records and task logs and prepares and submits reports as requested.
Requirements
- Experience working in a maintenance role at a hotel or resort.
- Knowledge of household repairs, including carpentry, electrical, and plumbing work.
- Engaging and welcoming personality.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for creating an exceptional guest experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to walk, stand, reach, crouch, bend, and push or pull throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance of building and facility mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Perform electrical repairs on appliances, house wiring, air conditioning systems, switches, fixtures, and motors.
- Repair plumbing fixtures, piping, drains, and sanitary systems.
- Repair woodwork, wall vinyl, doors, windows, carpeting, and similar items.
- Perform mechanical maintenance on pumps, compressors, water heaters, automotive equipment, and miscellaneous equipment.
- Maintain records and logs of completed tasks as required by company policy and procedures.
- Prepare and submit requested reports and logs to supervisors in a timely manner.
- Maintain the hotel's preventive maintenance program.
