About The Position

The Maintenance Engineer helps ensure hotel facilities and equipment are in excellent condition so guests feel safe and cared for and enjoy a comfortable, problem-free stay. The role performs repairs and preventative maintenance, troubleshoots technical devices, conducts safety inspections, and responds promptly to guest requests. The position supports hotel goals through teamwork and collaboration with other departments.

Requirements

• Basic verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to move continuously and regularly bend, lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Previous maintenance experience in a hotel or property management setting is preferred.
• Previous technical training or job experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic repairs and preventative maintenance on PTAC/HVAC equipment, furniture and cabinetry, appliances, light fixtures, and plumbing.
• Perform interior and exterior painting, landscaping, and parking lot repairs.
• Troubleshoot technical devices such as key card systems, internet equipment, and television equipment.
• Conduct routine safety inspections and report or repair issues with equipment or systems.
• Respond to guest requests with urgency and a service-oriented approach.
• Support hotel goals through teamwork and collaboration with all departments.
