About The Position

The Maintenance Engineer assists with preventive maintenance and completes work orders to maintain the hotel and meet product-quality standards. The role includes maintaining guest rooms, hotel equipment, the pool, the building exterior, and furnishings, as well as responding courteously to guest questions, complaints, and requests. The position may involve exposure to extreme temperatures and operating heavy machinery.

Responsibilities

Assist with preventive maintenance and complete work orders, including replacing ceiling tiles and light bulbs and patching vinyl.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance assignments, such as room care.
Check electrical systems, including air-conditioning controls, televisions, and lighting, and make minor repairs or replacements.
Perform routine repairs and assist with major repairs to hotel equipment, including small appliances, kitchen and laundry equipment, boilers, pool equipment, HVAC systems, hand and power tools, and plumbing systems and fixtures.
Service the hotel pool by adjusting chemicals, cleaning filters, completing maintenance request forms, and maintaining record logs.
Maintain the building exterior and curb appeal through tasks such as snow removal, lawn care, painting, and gardening.
Refurbish guest-room furniture and fixtures, including cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows, and counters; paint or finish them as needed.
Respond courteously to guest questions, complaints, and requests to support guest satisfaction.
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
