About The Position

The Maintenance Engineer joins the team at Cancun Resort in Las Vegas, a resort with 446 units, villas and penthouse suites, a waterfall, water slides, a swimming pool, a poolside café, and spa services. The position focuses on resolving guest engineering issues and maintaining guest rooms, public spaces, equipment, fixtures, and furnishings. The role requires working a full-time overnight shift from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Requirements

At least 1 year of related experience.
High school diploma or GED.
Available to work a full-time overnight shift from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
Able to climb stairs, work on ladders up to 40 feet, push or pull up to 100 pounds, and lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
Able to grasp, stoop, and reach overhead, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Nice To Haves

CPO certification.
3 or more years of job-related experience.
Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Interact with guests to resolve engineering problems.
Perform basic appliance repair, troubleshoot air-conditioning controls, and carry out related repairs.
Repair drywall, paint and stain surfaces, and repair wall vinyl.
Fix plumbing fixtures, clean drains, and change filters.
Maintain equipment in guest rooms and public spaces, including replacing caulk.
Repair tile and grout, doors, locking mechanisms, and hinges.
Inspect rooms for pest intrusion and inspect or replace cosmetic appliance components.
Replace light bulbs and ballasts and repair closet and drapery tracks.
Replace furniture, stain furniture, and repair nicks and gouges.
Replace remote-control batteries and unclog toilets and sinks.
Perform paint touch-ups and glue peeling wallpaper.
Complete scheduled preventative maintenance and replace faulty plumbing components.
Maintain a clear line of communication with the leadership team.
Perform other general maintenance tasks as assigned.
