Maintenance Engineer - Full Time

About The Position

The Maintenance Engineer performs maintenance and repairs at Cancun Resort in Las Vegas, which has 446 units and guest amenities including villas and penthouse suites, a waterfall, water slides, a swimming pool, a poolside café, and spa services. The role addresses guest engineering concerns and maintains guestroom and public-space equipment. It includes an overnight schedule from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM and other general maintenance duties as assigned.

Requirements

At least 1 year of related experience.
High school diploma or GED.
Available to work a full-time overnight shift from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
Able to climb stairs, work on ladders up to 40 feet, push or pull up to 100 pounds, lift or carry up to 50 pounds, grasp, stoop, and reach overhead, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

CPO certification.
At least 3 years of job-related experience.
Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Interact with guests to resolve engineering problems.
Perform basic appliance repair, work with air-conditioning controls, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs.
Repair drywall, paint and stain surfaces, and repair wall vinyl.
Repair plumbing fixtures, clean drains, change filters, unclog toilets and sinks, and replace faulty plumbing components.
Maintain guestroom and public-space equipment, including replacing caulk and repairing tile and grout.
Repair doors, including locking mechanisms and hinges.
Inspect rooms for pest intrusion.
Inspect and replace cosmetic appliance components.
Replace light bulbs and ballasts.
Repair closet and drapery tracks.
Replace furniture and stain furniture or repair nicks and gouges.
Replace remote-control batteries, touch up paint, and glue peeling wallpaper.
Complete planned, scheduled preventive maintenance.
Maintain clear communication with the leadership team.
Perform other general maintenance tasks as assigned.
