About The Position

The Maintenance Engineer I is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on various systems including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration. This role involves inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment such as boilers, chillers, pumps, generators, and air handling units to ensure guest rooms, public areas, and facility infrastructure are in good working condition. The position requires prompt response to maintenance requests, conducting regular inspections, and assisting with complex repairs. Additionally, the role involves maintaining inventory, completing documentation, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering excellent customer service to support guest satisfaction.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC
Must be at least 18 years old and pass a drug test

Nice To Haves

1–3 years of general maintenance experience preferred
Vocational training or apprenticeship experience is a plus
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration systems
Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair equipment such as boilers, chillers, pumps, generators, and air handling units
Maintain guest rooms, public areas, and facility infrastructure in good working condition
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and service calls
Conduct regular inspections (lighting, generators, cooling systems, etc.) and resolve issues
Assist engineers and mechanics with complex repairs
Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and organized work areas
Complete daily work logs and documentation
Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements
Deliver excellent customer service and support guest satisfaction
