The Sheraton Stonebriar has recently completed a significant renovation and is ideally situated near major corporate headquarters, upscale shopping, and entertainment areas in Frisco. The hotel features a full-service restaurant, an outdoor pool, 168 rooms, and 6,000 sq. ft. of meeting space, making it suitable for both corporate and leisure travelers. Requirements

  • Vocational schooling, military training, certification and/or experience in building related trades required in 1 or more of the following areas: HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Carpentry.
  • Climbing, reading, standing, walking, and routinely lifting 25 lbs. to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to receive instructions and communicate progress of work assignments.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Hotel experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with preventative maintenance and complete work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, and patching vinyl to maintain hotel standards.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance assignments, including "room care".
  • Assist in checking and making minor repairs/replacements to electrical systems like air conditioning controls, televisions, and lighting.
  • Assist in checking and performing routine and major repairs on hotel equipment, including small appliances, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, boilers, pool equipment, HVAC, hand and power tools, and general plumbing systems and fixtures.
  • Service the hotel's pool, including chemical adjustments, filter cleaning, and completing maintenance request forms and logs.
  • Maintain the building exterior and "curb appeal" through tasks like snow removal, lawn care, painting, and gardening.
  • Refurbish furniture and fixtures in guest rooms, such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows, and counters, including painting and finishing.
  • Move furniture and fixtures throughout the building.
  • Respond courteously to guest questions, complaints, and requests to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
