Maintenance Engineer I
About The Position
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration systems. Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair equipment such as boilers, chillers, pumps, generators, and air handling units. Maintain guest rooms, public areas, and facility infrastructure in good working condition. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and service calls. Conduct regular inspections (lighting, generators, cooling systems, etc.) and resolve issues. Assist engineers and mechanics with complex repairs. Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and organized work areas. Complete daily work logs and documentation. Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Deliver excellent customer service and support guest satisfaction.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC
- Must be at least 18 years old and pass a drug test
- Ability to work in varied conditions (indoors/outdoors, extreme temperatures, noise, confined spaces, heights)
- Frequent standing, walking, climbing, and lifting (up to 75 lbs.)
- Use of tools, heavy equipment, and maintenance machinery
- Exposure to chemicals, smoke, and cleaning agents
Nice To Haves
- 1–3 years of general maintenance experience preferred
- Vocational training or apprenticeship experience is a plus
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
