About The Position
The Maintenance Director oversees the community safety program and maintains a secure resident home and working environment in compliance with policies and regulations. The role sustains a preventative maintenance program for community equipment, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, and leads the maintenance team in providing exceptional service. The director completes scheduled and emergency maintenance requests, maintains equipment and building systems, oversees chemical inventory and safe handling, implements safety protocols, and performs exterior maintenance as needed. The role also provides fire and disaster education and coordinates preparedness and drills with residents and team members. The director engages with residents compassionately and helps foster a warm, supportive environment grounded in love, compassion, and dignity.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Experience in HVAC systems and/or electrical work.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Leadership and supervisory ability, including readiness to mentor, motivate, and inspire.

Responsibilities
- Oversee the community safety program and maintain a secure resident home and working environment in compliance with policies and regulations.
- Sustain a preventative maintenance program for community equipment, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Hire, train, schedule, and lead the maintenance team in providing exceptional services.
- Mechanically repair, replace, and/or install minor equipment, hardware, and controls.
- Maintain water heaters, furnaces, air conditioners, kitchen equipment, and associated equipment.
- Maintain community plumbing systems.
- Complete scheduled and emergency maintenance requests quickly and efficiently.
- Conduct inventory of chemical supplies and comply with proper storage and usage procedures.
- Implement safety protocols and procedures to avert incidents and ensure compliance with OSHA requirements.
- Perform exterior maintenance duties as necessary.
- Deliver fire and disaster education and conduct preparation and drill activities with residents and team members.
- Engage with residents compassionately and cultivate a warm, supportive environment.
