About The Position

This is a temporary position with the Agency Office of State Human Resources Division Temporary Solutions. The role is classified as Maintenance/Construction Technician II (S) at Grade NC06. The agency's mission is to provide a solid Human Resource management foundation, responsible oversight, and creative solutions through a collaborative approach with all stakeholders to maximize the potential of its employees. This position is located at 431 N. Salisbury Street, Raleigh - Wake County, with the Department of Administration.

Requirements

• High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and one (1) year of progressive experience in the assigned trade areas; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• May require current certification by the Environmental Protection Agency as a Type I, II, III or Universal technician as required by Title 40, Code of Federal Regulations Part 82, Subpart F.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing and troubleshooting maintenance malfunctions and system failures.
• Performing preventative maintenance activities
• Maintaining accurate documentation of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Responding to emergency maintenance issues and providing recommendations for equipment replacement or upgrades.
• Other duties assigned
