About The Position

This position assists in populating, updating, and maintaining the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) at the Polynesian Cultural Center. The role involves populating the database with asset information, updating tags on all assets, and adding/updating documents for assets and inventory. The assistant will use relevant data to update and expand the preventive maintenance program within the CMMS and train staff on its use and mobile devices. The position is designed for students with foundational knowledge and little practical experience, suitable for freshmen or sophomores who have completed introductory courses.

Requirements

Must be a Construction and Facilities Management Major.
Have a basic understanding of building systems.
Be a self-starter with the ability to accomplish objectives without constant direction from management.
Be able to work independently.
Be willing to learn new skills.
Be fluent in the English language in both oral and written communication.
Must attach resume and current schedule (weekly view).
All applicants must be available for an on-site interview at the Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie, HI.
Must exemplify the university Honor Code, including the Dress and Grooming Principles and Expectations.
Students may only have 5 open job applications at a time.
Must complete the Form I-9 to verify eligibility to work in the U.S. and provide actual documents (no photocopies).

Nice To Haves

Computer database and scripting skills a plus.
Preference will be given to students who can work during academic breaks.

Responsibilities

Populate, update, and maintain the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
