Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Participated in a apprenticeship or a vocational program.
  • Five years experience inbuilding trades such as carpentry, painting, metal working, and/or plumbing.
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling up to 50 pounds.
  • Some climbing and balancing.
  • The position requires working outside, up to 8 hours per day, and exposure to inclement weather conditions or other hazardous work conditions.
  • High noise levels are a common occurrence during general maintenance.
  • Must have the ability to maintain assigned work hours.
  • Must have sufficient endurance to perform tasks over long periods of time.
  • This role requires work in a non-office setting, outdoors, and industrial locations.
  • Work requires exposure to heat/cold, noise, dust, mist, and/or fumes.
  • Required the ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
  • We require the wearing of personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, a fall protection harness, protective-toe footwear, gloves, a hard hat, and hearing protection.
  • Work hazards include electrical shock, confined spaces, and noise hazards.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background screening and drug test.
  • Must be able to be cleared for base or site access.
  • You must possess a valid and unrestricted driver's license.
  • You must complete all mandated training requirements per government and management directives.
  • Must be able to obtain a favorable National Agency Check (NAC) per contract.
  • Must be a legal U.S. Resident per contract.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in the English Language per contract.

Responsibilities

  • Ability read and interpret blueprints.
  • Assist with structural design, planning, layout and installation.
  • Conduct repair work and installation of doors, windows, drywall, cabinets, stairs, and other fixtures as required.
  • Repair Overhead doors
  • Perform minor roof repairs
  • Ability to operate to operate tools, machines, and other equipment.
  • Ability to assess the quality of woodwork and materials.
  • Perform preventive maintenance services on numerous facilities post-wide!
  • Exposure to heat/cold, noise, dusts mist and/or fumes and requires the ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
  • Wearing personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, fall protection harness, protective-toe footwear, gloves, hard hat, and hearing protection.
  • Work hazards include electrical shock, confined spaces, noise hazards.
  • Always ensure safe shop operation, including maintaining required safety paperwork and using appropriate PPE.
  • Keep the Lead informed of work-related problems. Maintain logs and other records of actions taken.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
