Maintenance Caretaker 1st Shift PT Russellville Research Farm
About The Position
This is a 1st Shift position where the holder will work in a live production research facility to maintain various parts of the production and research process as a farm worker laborer. The work schedule will vary, and the candidate must have a flexible work schedule. The position requires the candidate to not own, possess, or otherwise maintain any domestic, wild, or exotic fowl and to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species. The company’s Poultry Biosecurity and Animal Welfare Policies must be followed at all times, and an Animal Welfare background check will be required. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Requirements
- High School or GED diploma required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Motivated self-starter who has the desire to learn from others
- Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Time management and multitasking abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Ability to work in a wet/dusty environment with external weather conditions
- Ability to perform bending, stooping, heavy lifting, walking, grabbing, twisting, and shoveling
- Must not own, possess, or otherwise maintain any domestic, wild, or exotic fowl
- Willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, etc)
- Must pass an Animal Welfare background check
- Must not have worked for Tyson more than 3X
- Must observe a 180-day waiting period if previously employed by Tyson
