The Maintenance Automation Technician performs the functions of an Automation Technician, focusing on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining automation systems. This role involves ensuring safe work methods, complying with company policies, and performing various duties to support the automation infrastructure. The technician will be responsible for documenting software and communication equipment, following up on completed work, and providing support during off-shift hours. They will also maintain a clean and safe work area, adhere to lockout/tag-out procedures, and be available for on-call duties. The position requires effective communication skills, the ability to work at different heights, and active participation in continuous improvement activities like Six Sigma and TPM. Project management, PLC ladder logic troubleshooting and writing (Allen Bradley and Siemens), and managing automation/electrical standards are key aspects of this role, along with coaching and mentoring other technicians and electricians.
