About The Position

Tarantino Properties is seeking Maintenance Assistants in Grand Prairie, Texas, and Arlington, Texas. This position is suited to someone looking to develop apartment maintenance skills while working with an experienced maintenance team. The role involves handling work orders, preparing apartments for occupancy, completing basic HVAC and plumbing repairs, maintaining pool equipment, and supporting general property upkeep. The assistant also participates in an on-call rotation to respond to emergency maintenance requests.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, furnaces, and plumbing.
• Experience with apartment maintenance, make-ready processes, and work order systems.

Nice To Haves

• HVAC (EPA) certification preferred.
• Pool certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner.
• Perform apartment make-ready tasks, including repairs and unit preparation.
• Diagnose and repair basic HVAC systems, furnaces, and air conditioning units.
• Identify and fix plumbing issues, including leaks and minor pipe repairs.
• Maintain pool equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Assist with general property upkeep, including preventative maintenance.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as part of an on-call rotation.
