About The Position

ParkVista Apartments is currently seeking a Maintenance Assistant to ensure the maintenance and upkeep of the building and grounds through routine procedures and special work orders. This position is ideal for someone who is dependable, proactive, and capable of handling a variety of maintenance tasks to keep the property running smoothly.

Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry at least 20 lbs. or more
• HVAC (A/C) certification required
• Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, furnaces, and plumbing
• Experience with apartment maintenance, make-ready processes, and work order systems
• Willingness to work on-call as needed (rotating schedule)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Indoor and outdoor work in various weather conditions
• Physically active role requiring standing, bending, lifting, and walking
• Full-time with rotating on-call responsibilities

Nice To Haves

• Pool certification preferred
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license preferred

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner
• Perform apartment make-ready tasks, including repairs and unit preparation
• Diagnose and repair basic HVAC systems, furnaces, and air conditioning units
• Identify and fix plumbing issues such as leaks and minor pipe repairs
• Maintain pool equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards
• Assist with general property upkeep, including preventative maintenance
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as part of an on-call rotation
