About The Position

At Sunrise Senior Living, the Maintenance Assistant helps maintain a safe, clean, and well-functioning community for residents, families, and team members. The role supports safety, compliance, and day-to-day building operations by completing maintenance tasks, repairs, preventative maintenance, and other facility-related work. The position may also involve driving a community vehicle as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned maintenance tasks and work orders.
• Perform basic repairs involving plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, and fixtures.
• Assist with painting and refurbishing projects.
• Support maintenance of HVAC, water, and mechanical systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety checks.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and repair inventory.
• Support carpet and floor care as needed.
• Assist with suite make-ready preparation.
• Follow OSHA, fire safety, and infection control standards.
• Participate in emergency preparedness activities and fire drills.
• Drive the community vehicle as assigned.
